Hi there! I’m Dondi Hopkins and I’m the co-founder and team leader of The Hopkins Team as well as one of Compass’s top real estate agents in Florida.
Real estate is more than just a day job for me; it’s my passion. I started working for the Coldwell Banker sales team in 1996 as a sales professional for residential real estate. From my days working in sales, I learned how to create extensive marketing plans that are unique to each home or project. I then ventured into becoming a real estate agent. I acquired the necessary licenses and continued to work with Coldwell Banker, but this time as The Hopkins Team.
I co-founded The Hopkins Team with my mother, Dianna Hopkins in 2006. I also serve as the team leader for our 32-person team, which is made up of some of the industry’s most talented, skilled, and efficient professionals. With the help of Compass, the nation’s most innovative residential real estate firm, our team has grown to become one of the top-producing real estate teams in Florida.
Being a lifelong resident of Plantation, Florida has given me the opportunity to learn more about South Florida real estate. Knowing South Florida like the back of my hand has helped tremendously when it comes to assisting my team and my clients. I make use of my superior market knowledge and thorough understanding of current local market conditions.
Over the years, I have also earned various designations and certifications such as:
My wealth of experience and knowledge has given me the chance to become a key speaker at numerous real estate events, such as the Coldwell Banker Annual Elite Agent Symposium, the Coldwell Banker Young Professionals Network (YPN) – Ready to Rumble, and the MIAMI Association of REALTORS® Legends and Millennials.
I am also very much involved with the Plantation community. I believe that giving back to the community can create connections, strengthen the community, and make a difference, no matter how big or small. I have organized and joined various committees, such as the Coldwell Banker Tour of Homes, and the Plantation Junior Women’s Club, and Art in the Park Kids Corner. I also founded Women in Charge, a local networking group for women in Plantation, Florida.
Aside from my community involvement and activities, I also enjoy gardening, coaching my kids’ sports teams, spending time with my family, and making the best out of what life has to offer.
As a real estate agent and team leader, my goal is to produce high-quality results. I believe that it’s not about the amount of work that you put out, but the quality of your work. I always encourage my team to give 110% when helping out a client.
